The schools now are very outdated and the stairways are too narrow. This makes it unsafe in case there was a fire. There are cracks in the walls and ceilings. The bathrooms are very small and poorly located. In Readlyn, the only bathrooms are located on the main floor. This means that the fifth and sixth graders must go down three flights of stairs to use the bathroom --- not good for an emergency. |

CAUGHRON WATERLOO --- On behalf of all residents living on or near Rainbow Drive, I would like to apologize for the city of Waterloo and thank you for your patience. Obviously they are oblivious to the fact that road construction on this street is the least of their priorities. Last summer it took them four months to complete a stretch of road equivalent of one city block. This year seems to be the same thing. I realize this has been a unique summer and weather and aging sewer systems don't help, but we've had enough. There is no easy way around construction in this unique part of town, detours extending no less than a quarter of a mile. With fuel prices at an all time high, nobody is fond of the situation. Please do something about this. Thank you. |
