| Lightning hits propane tank Thu, 26 Jun 2008 10:51:00 -0500 Fire from a propane tank ignited by a lightning strike spread to Ed and Shawn Hunsucker’s home at 2180 Seven Springs Road, Muscatine, early today. Muscatine Assistant Fire Chief Jerry Ewers said firefighters responded to the propane tank fire at 12:17 a.m., and remained at the scene for more than four hours. Upon arrival, the fire had followed piping into the house, where it was also burning, Ewers said. The Fruitland, Letts and Wilton fire departments assisted. |
