We are in a recession. The majority of hard-working people in Iowa have to work two jobs just to try to pay their bills and make ends meet. Gas prices continue to escalate, groceries are more expensive. It started with the subprime mortgage scam and has filtered down to all of us. Let's face it, some people got rich off that scam at the expense of many good people. Jobs have been lost, companies have closed their doors and yet the governor's looking at approving a double-digit salary increase for himself and others in government. Amazing. |
